History:

1. Theatre:

4. Boukopion:
You can find Boukipion (an altar) in the north-east of Acropolis. One can find about thirty eight writings on rocks that help recognizing the place.
5. The Archokrateion:
A large number of cemeteries can be seen around the Acropolis. One of the important funerary monuments is the Archokrateion. You can also visit a rock slashed tomb situated in the hill west of Acropolis and Krana (the surrounding area of Kampana).
The exterior part of Archokrateion is divided into two stories. The top and ground floors possess various pillars supporting blind openings and slabs with triglyphs and metopes respectively.
On the ground floor there are funerary religious structures having the name inscribed on the bases. To acces the place of performing burial rituals, you are advised to travel through the indoor road. There are about nineteen graves cut into the chamber walls. On your entrance to the hall, you will find pillars alternated with the panels of plaster.
The modern name of the place suggests that it was a church during the medieval times. Besides the beauty of other infrastructures near Lindos’ Acropolis, this place is worth seeing for toutists.
