Tourists that come to Southern California often visit Los Angeles, yet over look the city that sits right next door. Tourists looking for entertainment, should not want to miss the Long Beach attractions.

Located just east of Los Angeles, the coastal community prides itself on tourism and it’s ability to show tourists a fun time. There are so many interesting long beach points of interest that you could never see them all — unless you’ve got a couple weeks to spare. Some of the most popular attractions include the following:

Aquarium of the Pacific: The aquarium highlights three galleries about separate regions of the Pacific ocean. In Shark Lagoon, visitors can come face to face with the deep-sea creatures. Outside there is an aviary where visitors can take pictures with a gorgeous flock of Lorikeets.

Shoreline Village: This retail Mecca for travelers has eclectic kiosks, places to eat and water sports. This is one of the most popular Long Beach attractions, and draws crowds of locals and tourists every day. Shoreline Village has a host of family-friendly things to do including a carousel that the children will love. At night, the restaurants are the perfect place to share a romantic dinner and stroll on the boardwalk.

Queen Mary: The stately ship is harbored in Long Beach, and has been since 1967. Take a tour and learn about its rich history. If you are so inclined, you can even stay overnight aboard the luxury liner and eat Sunday brunch in the ship’s acclaimed dining room.

Rubber Duck Tours: This tour takes guests on a guided ride throughout the harbor area and then harbor without ever unique vehicle can travel on land and water — a novelty that kids of all ages find fascinating.

There is so much more to see in this contemporary seaside town. Whether you’re into shopping, water sports, art events, watching plays , or fine dining that one of the exciting long beach sites will fit the bill. Visit Long Beach and you’ll learn what the locals already know, there’s always something to do in this city.
